Handbook and H&S Test
Researchers joining the department must complete a basic induction before starting work in the laboratory. This includes:
- Watching the School of Chemistry H&S Talk (Access Online Talk; please note that “viewing percentage” is monitored through Panopto)
- Reading the School of Chemistry H&S Handbook (Access H&S Handbook)
- Completing the H&S Test on Moodle (Access Moodle H&S Test)
You must achieve a pass mark of 80% or above before starting any laboratory work.
ChemInventory
St Andrews uses software called ChemInventory to maintain up-to-date records of research chemicals stored in each laboratory. The software can be accessed at www.cheminventory.net
